Alexandre El Khomri Wins the North & South Junior Amateur Championship
Moroccan golf has achieved another prestigious international milestone with Alexandre El Khomri’s victory at the 48th North & South Junior Amateur Championship, one of the most competitive junior golf tournaments in the United States, held on the legendary Pinehurst course.
Competing against a world-class international field, Alexandre delivered a composed and determined performance to claim the title at 6-under par, adding his name to the list of champions of one of the world’s most prestigious amateur golf events. At just 16 years old, he adds this victory to an already impressive résumé, which includes finishing as runner-up at the 2025 African Junior Championship, placing 17th at the 2025 Toyota World Junior Championship, and representing Morocco at the World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore.
This victory carries particular significance, as Alexandre El Khomri is among the leading prospects expected to represent Morocco once again at the 2027 World Amateur Team Championships (WATC), which the city of Rabat will have the honor of hosting.
For the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, this title is a testament to the steady progress of a new generation of players capable of excelling at the highest level of international competition.
