The Throne Cup was launched on November 18, 2004. This sporting event was held for the first time at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, marking the dawn of a new era for amateur golf in Morocco.
Since its inception, this mixed-team competition has established itself as one of the key events on the national golf calendar.
Over the years, the Throne Cup has been hosted by numerous clubs throughout the Kingdom. This tradition of touring makes the competition a true promotional tool for the host courses and a catalyst for the growth of golf in Morocco. The increasing number of participating clubs reflects the growing appeal of this event. The Kingdom's best players are all present, each aiming to win the title of Best Club in Morocco.
