Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, presided by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, are organizing the 48th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to 24, 2024 at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat.
Since its creation in 1971, the Hassan II Golf Trophy, created by His Late Majesty King Hassan II, has always attracted the greatest names in the world of golf. Billy Casper, Sam Snead, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Payne Stewart, Severiano Ballesteros, Vijay Singh, and Ernie Els, among many others, have all stepped on the fairways of the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam’s Red Course.
The 48th edition of this prestigious event will welcome 66 legends of the PGA Tour Champions, including former winners and illustrious participants of the Hassan II Golf Trophy. Colin Montgomerie, winner of the 1997 edition and 8-time European No. 1, Joakim Haeggman, winner in 2001, José Maria Olazábal, double winner of the Masters, Tom Lehman, winner of the British Open in 1996, as well as Alex Cejka, winner of the 2023 Senior Open Championship, will be among the contenders to follow the Canadian Stephen Ames, who will be keen to defend his title.
The field will also include iconic players from the world of golf such as Thomas Bjorn, Captain of the victorious European Ryder Cup team in 2018, American John Daly, double winner of major tournaments, and Spanish Miguel Angel Jiménez, with 13 victories on the PGA Tour Champions.
Sports and golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience an exceptional sporting event, combining the excitement of the competition with the beauty of the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.
