NEWS BRIEF REGARDING THE NOTICE ON CADDIES

Implementation of a new measure for the recognition and structuring of the caddie profession

In accordance with the high instructions of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, President of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (RMGF), a federal notice was sent to golf clubs on May 29, 2025, mandating the use of caddies on all courses throughout the Kingdom.

This decision is part of a broader initiative to enhance the human and social value of the caddie profession, recognizing its essential role within Morocco’s golfing ecosystem. It aims to preserve the dignity of a profession often overlooked by granting it the professional recognition it deserves and reinforcing its integration into the national golf model.

The notice also initiates a process of structuring and oversight, through the establishment of a clear and standardized framework for the practice of the profession. The RMGF will continue to fulfill its training mission to ensure the professional development of caddies and allow all license holders to benefit from quality support.

On a social level, the Federation supports this profession as part of the broader initiative to generalize social protection.

Finally, this measure fully contributes to the excellence of the golfing experience in Morocco, one of the few countries to preserve this tradition. Thanks to their expertise, knowledge of the courses, and close connection with players, caddies play a key role in upholding environmental etiquette and elevating service standards on golf courses.

This initial phase is part of a broader strategy to structure golf-related professions, which will be further detailed at the next Extraordinary General Assembly of the Federation.
