In 2021, the FRMG launched the “Road to The Tour 2021-2031” initiative, marking a major strategic shift for the federation.
This new direction envisages allocating 70% of its actions to development and 30% to High Level. The aim of this initiative is to identify young talent at an early age and guide them towards international tournaments, in particular by accompanying them on their way to prestigious American universities.
To achieve this objective, the Federation relies on partner schools & academies, programs such as First Tee Morocco, Road to Lydex and the Fédéral Junior Tour. With this in mind, the Federation offers sports support and assists young people in their university enrolment process. Thanks to an approach based on detection and performance improvement, the young players selected to join this program are accompanied to set objectives for their training, development and results targets over several years, preparing them to take on international players in prestigious competitions.
It also opens up opportunities for them to be noticed by renowned American universities in order to enter sports-related graduate programs, and in the longer term, to participate in major international circuits such as the PGA Tour or the DP World Tour. The Road To The Tour program is divided into two cells.
